Overview
The Savandurga Trek is one of the most thrilling and scenic treks near Bangalore, located just 60 km from the city. Rising to a height of 4,022 ft, Savandurga is Asia's largest monolith hill, making it a bucket-list adventure for trekking enthusiasts. The trek trail covers 4-5 km (to & fro) and usually takes about 3-4 hours to complete. The climb leads you through rocky boulders, gentle slopes, and steep sections before reaching the Biligudda peak, where you'll find the ruins of Kempe Gowda's fort, ancient temples, and stunning views of the Arkavathi River and Manchanabele Dam. Itinerary
Departure from Bangalore
- •Depart from Bangalore late in the evening in a comfortable private Non A/c vehicle, with convenient pickup points across the city
- •11:30 PM: Pick up from Marathahalli (Opposite to Kalamandir)
- •11:45 PM: Pick up from Silk Board ( Bus Stop, Opp. Pizza Hut)
- •12:00 AM: Pick up from BTM Layout (A2B Restaurant)
- •12:30 AM: Pick up Banashankari (Banashankari Bus Stand)
- •1:00 AM: Pick up from RR Nagar (Metro Station)
- •Enjoy the comfortable overnight journey as we drive towards the scenic Savandurga district.
Day 1: Trek to Savandurga Peak
- •4:30 AM: Reach the trek base. Your trek leader will conduct a quick briefing, providing instructions and ensuring everyone is ready
- •5:30 AM: SStart the trek through rocky slopes and boulder-filled trails leading up the Biligudda peak
- •6:30 AM: Reach the summit. Explore fort ruins, ancient temples, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Arkavathi River, Manchanabele Dam, and lush forests
- •7:15 AM: Relax at the top, capture memorable photos, and soak in the serene atmosphere
- •7:30 AM: Start the descent back to the base
- •9:15 AM: Reach the base, freshen up, and head to the nearest restaurants
- •10:30 AM: Enjoy a hot South Indian breakfast on the way back to Bangalore
- •12:00 PM: Arrive in Bangalore with unforgettable memories of the Savandurga trekking experience

Participant Cancellation Policy
- 100% Refund: Cancellations 30+ days before departure (excluding convenience/transaction fees).
- 50% Refund: Cancellations 15-29 days before departure.
- No Refund, Future Credit, or Transfer: Cancellations 14 days or less before departure.
goChaarana Cancellation Policy
- If goChaarana cancels a trek due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule to another trek of their choice.
Rescheduling Option
- You can reschedule your booking to a future trek without any additional cost, subject to availability. This option is available if you request the change at least three days before your original trek date.
Important Notes
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.
- Trek fees are non-transferable to another participant.
- No refund will be provided for a no-show or dropping out mid-trek.
