Ettina Bhuja, which translates to "Oxs Shoulder in Kannada, is a striking peak nestled within the Charmadi Ghats of the Western Ghats, located in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka. The trek usually begins from the Sri Nanya Bhairaveshwara Temple in Byrapura village, about 25 kilometers from Mudigere. The trail winds through lush forests and open grasslands before reaching a distinctive rocky outcrop that resembles an oxs shoulder. While most of the trek is easy and suitable for beginners, the final ascent involves a steep and narrow rocky section with an incline of about 75 to 80 degrees. This portion can be particularly challenging during the monsoon season due to slippery conditions.
