The Kodachadri Trek is one of the most popular treks in Karnataka, located in the scenic Shimoga district amidst the Western Ghats. Standing tall at 1,343 meters (4,406 feet). The trail to Kodachadri Peak takes you through dense Shola forests, rolling meadows, rocky paths, and the breathtaking Hidlumane Waterfalls. On a clear day, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views that stretch all the way to the Arabian Sea, making it one of the few peaks in Karnataka where you can witness the magical sunset over the coastline.Apart from natural beauty, Kodachadri holds great spiritual significance. At the summit lies the Sarvajna Peetha, a small stone structure where Adi Shankaracharya is believed to have meditated. This unique blend of adventure, nature, and heritage makes the Kodachadri trek a truly enriching experience.The trek is around 14 km with a moderate difficulty level, making it suitable for fit beginners as well as experienced trekkers. Departure from Bangalore
Travel from Bangalore to Kodachadri Base Camp
- •Depart from Bangalore late in the evening in a comfortable private Non A/c vehicle, with convenient pickup points across the city

- •08:45 PM: Pick up from Domlur - Domlur Sky Walk, Opp to Domlur Bus
- •09:30 PM Pickup from Yeshwanthpur - Yeshwanthpur Metro Station

Day 1: Trek to Kodachadri Hill via the refreshing Hidlumane Falls
Full day trek through refreshing Hidlumane Falls, exploring lush forests, streams, and scenic trails along the way.
- •Reach the homestay early morning, freshen up, and have a healthy breakfast
- •Pack a small backpack with essentials and a packed lunch. Depart towards the trek starting point!
- •Reach the forest check-post and get the permits checked. Start your trek towards Kodachadri Peak, passing through Dense Shola forests, Hidlumane Waterfalls Rolling meadows & rocky terrains
- •Reach the summit of Kodachadri (1,343m) and soak in breathtaking views of the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea horizon
- •Visit the historic Sarvajna Peetha, where Adi Shankaracharya is believed to have meditated
- •Have packed lunch at the peak, enjoy photography, and relax amidst nature
- •Start descending, retracing the trail back or opt for the adventurous jeep ride down rugged mountain paths

Participant Cancellation Policy
- 100% Refund: Cancellations 30+ days before departure (excluding convenience/transaction fees).
- 50% Refund: Cancellations 15-29 days before departure.
- No Refund, Future Credit, or Transfer: Cancellations 14 days or less before departure.
goChaarana Cancellation Policy
- If goChaarana cancels a trek due to weather, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a 100% refund or the option to reschedule to another trek of their choice.
Rescheduling Option
- You can reschedule your booking to a future trek without any additional cost, subject to availability. This option is available if you request the change at least three days before your original trek date.
Important Notes
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days.
- Trek fees are non-transferable to another participant.
- No refund will be provided for a no-show or dropping out mid-trek.
