Channarayana Durga Trek is a moderately challenging trail located near Madhugiri in the Tumkur district of Karnataka, approximately 100 kilometers from Bengaluru. The trek leads to a historic 17th-century hilltop fort built by Chikkappa Gowda, which was later captured by the Marathas and the British. The route features a combination of rocky paths, steep climbs, and scattered fort ruins, making it suitable for both beginners and seasoned trekkers. As you ascend, you’ll encounter ancient fort walls, old temples, and panoramic viewpoints. At the summit, trekkers are rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding hills and green countryside.
