Reaching the summit just as the sky turned golden felt surreal. Uttari Betta is famous for its <strong>sunrise views<\/strong>, and experiencing it firsthand was magical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pickup &amp; Travel Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We received all trek details in a <strong>WhatsApp group 24 hours before departure<\/strong>, which made everything very clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I stay in <strong>Koramangala<\/strong>, and my pickup point was <strong>Silk Board<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Departure Time:<\/strong> 11:50 PM<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After a short wait, we boarded the vehicle and started our journey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There were <strong>13 members, including the trek lead<\/strong>, making it a comfortable and close-knit group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Near <strong>Kunigal<\/strong>, we stopped for a <strong>tea and washroom break<\/strong> (important note: there are <strong>no washrooms at the base camp<\/strong>). During this break, we had an ice-breaking session, played a few games, and got to know each other better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We resumed the journey around <strong>2:45 AM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reaching the Base Village<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At around <strong>3:10 AM<\/strong>, we reached <strong>Hutridurga village<\/strong>, the base for the Uttari Betta trek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a short briefing and warm-up session, we switched on our torches. Under a sky full of stars, we began our <strong>night trek<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Night Trek Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hutridurga Village to Sankareswara Temple<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Distance:<\/strong> 1 km<br><strong>Duration:<\/strong> 1\u20131.5 hours<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trek begins with <strong>ancient stone gateways<\/strong>. Walking through <strong>four massive stone doorways<\/strong> felt like stepping back in time. The trail includes curved stone steps and a few steep sections\u2014tiring at moments, but incredibly rewarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sankareswara Temple to Sunrise Viewpoint<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Distance:<\/strong> 1.5 km<br><strong>Duration:<\/strong> 1 hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the temple, the actual trail begins. There are a few diversions, so having a trek lead was extremely helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We crossed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rocky stretches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Muddy patches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cave-like passages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Huge boulders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>At around <strong>5:45 AM<\/strong>, we reached the <strong>sunrise viewpoint<\/strong>. It was cold, silent, and unbelievably beautiful.
